in 1981 a small group of independent heating spares and controls stockists took the decision to form an integrated Federation of Heating Spares Stockists.
With a commitment to providing a much needed and highly specialised replacement spare parts service network to the heating engineer, the Federation, known within the industry as the FHSS, have become the UK�s leading independent heating spares stockist group.
The FHSS quickly became renowned for innovation as our promotional voice gave the reassurance that the after sales service for spare parts and controls - gas oil and solid fuel was being catered for by a group of highly trained specialist stockists.
Today our nationwide membership network of Heating Spares Centres, have emerged as recognised consistent market leaders in the field of heating spares and controls.
Aims and objectives
The first principal objective of the F.H.S.S was to establish a national network of member companies, all of whom were actively trading as specialist heating stockists and suppliers of Gas, Oil and Solid Fuel Spares and Controls.
Today our objective has become a reality with our nationwide network of: Heating Spares Centres.

Through our unique Inter-Merchant Trading Links, F.H.S.S. Member Companies no longer have to trade in isolation, members are able to arrange collection and delivery of any spare or component carried within the F.H.S.S. network. This means that every stockist in our Nationwide network is fully tuned into the stock brands carried by other member companies and will when called upon, help to solve the problem in obtaining a special part or non - stock item in the most efficient and cost effective way.
